ASSESSMENT

🐾 At Waggy Tails, safety is at the heart of everything we do 💛

We’re proud to have one of the strongest safety-focused daycare environments in Melbourne. Our goal isn’t simply for dogs to tolerate daycare — we want every pup to genuinely enjoy being here and feel happy, relaxed, and confident in the pack environment.

Before enrolling, we encourage all fur parents to read our section: “Reasons Your Dog MAY NOT Be Suitable for Daycare.”

To ensure the best experience for everyone — both our canine guests and our human team — all dogs complete a temperament assessment before joining regular daycare.

This assessment allows us to carefully evaluate whether your pup feels comfortable, safe, and happy in a social group-play setting 🐶✨

Assessments are held on Mondays and Fridays.

Dog must be

  • Friendly and non-aggressive with other dogs and humans.
  • Up-to-date with all vaccinations C5 level and current certificates are required
  • Puppies are permitted 10 days following their 2nd vaccinations & must be a minimum of 12 weeks old 
  • All dogs over 1 year of age must be de-sexed
  • All dogs are required to undertake a temperament assessment
  • Waggy Tails is a cageless environment, where dogs interact and play directly with one another off leash
  • Dogs interact and play with their teeth and nails, therefore there may be the occurrence of nicks and/or scratches just like children occasionally come home from the playground with nicks and/or scratches
