Restricted breeds
As part of the code of practice of operating a day care facility the following breeds are not permitted at Waggy Tails:
- American Pit Bull Terrier, Fila Braziliero, (aka Brazilian Mastiff),Japanese Tosa (aka Japanese Mastiff)
- Dogo Argentina (aka Argentinean Mastiff), Presa Canario
we are unable to accept the following breedsSafety is our top priority. Our day care environment has multiple dogs socialising and playing in close personal spaces. Whilst these breeds make wonderful family pets, they can be more inclined to be confrontational and will readily engage, therefore our daycare environment is unsuitable for the following breeds. We are happy to recommend a facility that would be more suitable.
| SOME BREEDS ARE NOT always SUITABLE FOR DAYCAREThere are some breeds that are overstimulated in this environment and this may results in them not being suitable for day care. We require the following breeds to be well socialised, began training as a puppy and have completed advanced training. We require a letter from your training centre confirming the level of training your dog has completed
